Mission Trip Management,
All in One Place

Every tool a trip leader needs, from accepting the first donation to filing the last expense report.

Managing a church mission trip used to mean three spreadsheets, a group text nobody reads, and a Venmo chain that somehow loses $47 along the way. GO by MKDSCPLS is the mission trip management software that replaces the patchwork: one platform for fundraising, tasks, documents, budgets, itineraries, and team discipleship.

Built specifically for churches, not for generic nonprofits. That means donor tax receipts, guardian co-signatures for minors, self-funded participant tracking, and integrated reading plans, features that generic project management tools simply do not have. If you are still running a Dominican Republic youth trip out of Google Sheets, this is the tool you have been missing.

Below is a full breakdown of every feature. If you want a faster overview first, see what GO does at a glance, the pricing breakdown, or the step-by-step mission trip planning guide.

Penny-Accurate Donation Tracking

When a donor gives to your trip, the software splits it across your team with zero rounding loss. Remainder pennies are distributed fairly. Every dollar is accounted for.

  • Credit/debit cards (2.9% + $0.30)
  • ACH bank transfers (0.8%, capped at $5)
  • Digital wallets via Stripe Link
  • Donors choose to cover processing fees
  • Real-time fee display when switching payment methods
  • CSV export with fees, net amounts, and check/cash tracking
💰

  • Red overdue indicators so nothing slips

  • 3-day advance reminders before deadlines
  • Automatic overdue notifications

  • Green, yellow, and red status for each participant
  • Collapsible roster with individual progress bars
  • Summary line: "2 behind · 5 on track · 1 fully funded"
  • Self-funded exemption for participants not fundraising

How Churches Actually Use GO

Three scenarios from real kinds of trips, to show how the pieces fit together.

Youth Trip to the Dominican Republic

A youth pastor recruits 14 students and 4 adult chaperones. Every student gets an individual donation page with a $2,400 goal. Parents sign waivers and medical forms via email link with guardian co-signature. Task reminders keep students on top of passport renewals, immunizations, and packing lists. The youth pastor's Monday morning leader digest shows exactly who is behind on fundraising so he can intervene before it becomes a crisis.

Church-Wide Trip to Guatemala

A missions pastor runs a 30-person trip alongside a long-term Guatemalan ministry partner. Budget tracking shows real-time total raised, Stripe fees, cash received, expenses logged on the ground, and remaining balance. Support staff designations let the church bookkeeper access financial reports without seeing personal applications. Self-funded participants opt out of donation splits cleanly.

Multi-Trip Missions Program

A church with an active missions department runs 6 trips a year: two youth, two adult, two college. The Ministry plan gives them unlimited trips with a single dashboard view. Tasks, fundraising, and reports roll up across every active trip. Integrated reading plans from MKDSCPLS are assigned as team discipleship prep on every trip, so spiritual formation is tracked alongside logistics.

A Trip Is a Discipleship Journey

Most mission trip software treats a trip like a project to ship. GO treats it like a season of formation.

Every GO account comes with the full MKDSCPLS discipleship platform built in: reading plans, Bible study methods, and spiritual growth tools. You can assign mission-focused reading plans to the team as part of trip preparation, alongside logistics tasks. Track who has engaged with the material the same way you track who has their passport.

For youth trips, this is the difference between a team who arrives shaped by weeks of formation and a team who arrives having only filled out paperwork. For church-wide trips, it is the scaffolding that turns a week abroad into a catalyst for the next year of growth.

Feature FAQs

How do individual fundraising pages work?

Every team member gets a personal donation page with their own fundraising goal. Donors can give to a specific team member or to the trip as a whole. Individual gifts go to that person's goal; team-wide gifts get split automatically across members who are below their goal, penny-accurately. Leaders see per-person progress with stoplight indicators (green, yellow, red) and a summary line like "2 behind, 5 on track, 1 fully funded."

Can we use GO alongside Planning Center?

Yes. GO integrates with Planning Center Giving for fund mapping, donation sync, and reconciliation. Churches already running PCO for general giving can keep using it and layer GO on top for mission-specific tracking, participant-level fundraising, and trip logistics that PCO does not handle.

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. The Free plan covers up to 5 active trips with task checklists, manual payment tracking, and help center access with no time limit. Paid plans start at $9/month and add features like online donations, e-signatures, and larger storage. There are zero platform fees on donations on any plan.

How do e-signatures work?

E-signatures are built into the platform, no separate DocuSign or Adobe Sign subscription. Upload a PDF (waiver, medical form, trip agreement), assign it to participants, and the software captures a digital signature with a full audit trail. Minors can route to parents or guardians via email for co-signature. Starter plans include 1 signable document; Ministry plans include unlimited.

Can donors give without creating an account?

Yes. Donors never need an account to give. They can check out as a guest on the public fundraising page with card, ACH bank transfer, or digital wallet. If they want to see their giving history or download a tax receipt later, they request a magic link by email: no password, no account to create.

Does GO handle minors and guardian consent?

Yes. Minors on the team can have waivers and forms routed to a parent or guardian email address for co-signature. The platform collects consent with a full audit trail so your church has a legally defensible record. Emergency contact info and medical details are collected in the same flow.
